Today's news is brought to you by the websites All Project Stats and BOINCstats.

Sorry folks, but I'm afraid the news is a bit of a damp squib compared to normal. The servers have been less reliable than the English summer weather of late, which has resulted in stats sites being unable to get SETI data for more than four days. Added to that is that Team Starfire World BOINC Stats ‘N Stones is currently down, so I can't even get data for team milestones and member movements, though I will keep trying and add the relevant info later if it becomes available.

EDIT: The Stats 'n' Stones site is now up again, so have included the data for member movements and recent tiffy winners. Thanks again to the lack of stats, only one tiffy is listed.

I suppose this means that it'll be a bumper edition next week though :p

Little big of a bugger, but it isn't your fault Tross.

I've moved a couple of cores over to Rosetta for one of my machines. My main SETI machine survived last weekends outage as I stacked up a fair few WUs :p

Can't be helped TT, you did well to get the data you did into this weeks post.
Thanks for the sterling effort and hopefully things will be back to normal next week..

Thanks for the superplus effort TT.
181 creds for my 3 days. rofl.
still waiting for the 715 creds from the lone astropulse venture, so really, its not like i was slacking :p

edit: on the flip side, I'm guessing the rossetta news will be very interesting to read these days...

After being right down in 62th weekly dumpage I've decided to walk the plank with Seti and hope on board completely with Seti :) No longer will i have 1 leg either side :p

400odd points in 3 days, pretty much normal with weekly numbers of 1200ish, so i did get affected, but by leaving PC on bit longer while i was home seams to have brought the numbers up, overal better than i was expecting

Just to say hello, hello.

Hopefully after the recent outages the WU's will keep on rolling in and i can start to get back to a proper average score. Have seen it plummet from just over 4000 down to the paltry 1577 it is now. And that is with my machine on 24/7

Laters all

Paul

Welcome to the Good Ship sah :)

Yes, it has been frustrating of late. These new Astropulse WUs don't help the ol' RAC either - they earn comparitively much less points than the standard WUs, and I've been working on one for more than 3 days now with still ~18 hours left to go! Oh well, we do it for the science don't we... ;)

welcome to the team shelster :)

I do it for the science, and for the occasional good feeling of stepping really hard on someone/some other teams' achievements... :p

Meh upgraded the bios on my VMware box now I have to go down to the garage and reboot the bugger.. grr.

Finally looks like the stats are being updated properly again because I just got this.........................

cpartcert1.php

grats on the 1.5 mill!

i'm still very much a damp squib... its now 1 week where I've got no creds....

1722.39 creds backed up.... according to my page. the next news is going to be real lousy....
starting to wonder what on earth my computers have been working on.

well according to the stats, some lhc@home, rosetta, spinhenge and micro fluids. but thats not enough to explain a lot of missing creds. Ah thats why. 4-5 days no cpdn cobblies either.
oh well. must be sitting on a small credit cow.

I sent off a completed Astropulse WU t'other day. It took more than 4.5 days on my stock P4 3.6 and I got ~715 cobblies for my efforts. The relatively poor cobblestone return isn't an issue for me, but the length of time taken really is; reading around, it takes a third of the time on a Q6600, so methinks my power use is much better spent on standard WUs.
