Hay guys i giving my old card to a m8 but he needs a new psu to run the card so whats the cheapest psu that would do the job ? don't have to be anything fancy cheaper the better really lol

Thanks :)

Well you can get PSU's dirt cheap but tbh i still wouldn't risk it. I would get the cheapest 'good brand' PSU available. By good brand i mean - Corsair, Enermax, Seasonic maybe OCZ, Tagan too. Wattage depending on rest of spec

Edit: Bit slow

Don't cheap out on a PSU, a poor quality one will take out other parts of your system when it goes.

The Corsair mentioned is ideal for a lower end system built around a card like that.

Have you tried the 1950 in his system? I ask as mine runs quite happily in all 3 of my PC's, one of which only has a 300W generic PSU.

well he used the psu he had for another pc card which i gave him the card it got is (7800 gs agp

So really he needs a new one anyways but i think the x1950 need a bit more power and better +12 A rating then a 7800 ?

Cause the one with the 7800 only got like 16A on 12v .

My previous card was a 7600GS AGP, I'm having no probs running my X1950 on my current PSU's none of which could be described as cutting it tbh!
