According to the article on Radio4, they've implemented software that blanks out numberplates before publishing.

I do actually think its a privacy concern, it shouldn't be allowed around residential areas and should blur out things like number plates, people etc.

Why would you need a picture of the back door specifically? An overview would have the layout and surrounding area would be fine.

I think all this is pretty cool and has loads of future potential. One thought was racing games, how about playing Forza or PGR for your local area and being able to race mates from town A to town B with photo realistic streets!
