Over 20 pounds for FF7 are people insane.

I dont see how it could at all be considered boring.. I havent played it since i played it when it first came out, but i still remember bits and i remember loving it :)
 
I think all those who find it boring must be playing it in the wrong way, its not the kind of game you can sit down and have a quick blast here and there, you really have to delve deep into the story and the characters' minds, thats what final fantasy 7 is all about to me anyway. Oh and it is easily worth £20.
 
Maybe those who found it boring just found the story too much? or simply didnt understand it? as 50% of the games appeal is the story line.
