I'm looking for an Aftermarket cooler!

My processor is an Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 (2.13Ghz) Currently at 2.6Ghz... but it's running at 65ishC non load... at this rate it'll die pretty quickly.

So i'm looking for an aftermarket cooler, I'm currently using the stock heat sink and fan... Which suck.

I'm looking for a fairly quiet cooler... but hopefully something that'll still let me clock it up to 3Ghz? (If that's possible? I've seen it done before)

Thanks in advance, Combusted.

(Off-topic) Could this processor speed be the reason Doom 3 is running a little slowly? It's on High graphics... 1280x1024... And i have an 8800 GTX... Would've thought it'd run on Ultra High? (I have a second screen, but turning that off doesnt seem to make much difference either.)

a lot of the chaps on here reccommend the thermalright ultra 120. I use a Scythe mine' with a 120mm sharkoon silent eagle instead of the stock fan. temps on my Q6600 idle are about 35-40.

Does the ultra-120 still have the awful mounting mech though??

I got one of the initial batch & they were so loose mavity made it spin!

Thermalright Ultra-120
Thermalright Ultima-90 (if you dont have space for the 120)
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 (if your on a budget)

Any of these should suffice :)
