Blackouts

The power in my area has been going dead over the past few hours. First time we were watching Terminator 3 on my 360 and the power went, 3 RROD on the xbox :o

Seems fairly large scale as everyone I know in my area has lost their power, half the town seems to be down right now from what I can gather on the phone.

It went up again for a few hours and just went again.

Rebooted the xbox and it works again, worrying for all my electronics though.

Happening to anyone else?

I didn't think it was a *really* bad film tbh. I mean it's not the best of the three (T2 f.t.w. :)), but there were never any points in it where i got bored or lost interest. I think the script did spoil it a bit though.

Edit: Sorry I've just realised that was pretty off-topic lol :) Just for the record I hardly ever have power cuts up in the north west where I live. Last one we had was last year I think. And I can't remember having any before that.

I hate powercuts in my area, they dont happen often, but when they do happen there is a building down the street that has an alarm or something that makes an awfull lot of noise when the power goes out. So it can be hard to sleep if there happens to be a power cut during the night.
 
Some ****hole drove into the power substation near my house a few months ago, which led to intermittant power shortages right up until a few weeks ago when they finally got round to fixing it.
 
Last night there was a blackout around my area.

There was a split second powercut here (Blackpool) about 2hrs ago,everything just went off and then came back on.

And yeah, that seems like the same one that affected here. It all seems alright now though.
