Do you still use your Nintendo Wii?

Super Mario Galaxy is a brilliant game. As is Resi 4 and wii sports. They need to get a new HD Wii out that has more accurate controls- then we'd all be rushing to play it again!

The motion sensors are actually incredibly accurate (look for some videos of people tinkering with them on their pc on youtube), the problem is coding anything half decent for them. For example, a light-sabre game, everyone wants one, but little do they consider that how exactly, when they clash their saber against the enemies, will the wii-mote kick back and stop it from just passing straight through, thus breaking the entire game mechanic?

Its input is accurate, but its output isn't... which is unfortunate now i think about it, the image of children being punted across the room by their wii-mote because they got tackled in NFL is a rather hilarious one.

But yeah, one won't work without the other.

Wii sports was a launch title. Resident Evil 4 was already a great game on the gamecube. Mario Galaxy was an original and amazing game, granted, but that was almost a year ago.

We need more mature titles.

That also made little (read: none tbh) use of the wiis features. The best damn game the console has had and it would have worked just as well on a gamecube controller... same goes for twilight princess... and mario strikers.

I bought my Wii the day it came out. I played it for a couple of days then boxed it up and have never used it since. Games consoles not aimed at console gamers. I also rarely play games now that don't rewarded me with achievements either. I live for achievements. :D

You used the motion sensing features a fair bit in that game. You used them to do that spin thing, aim out of a cannon, ride the sting ray and balance on balls. The ball balancing was damn good.

They all seemed like after thoughts to me. The spinning was basically a fancy way of pressing the button, i wasn't a fan of the stingray parts but i do admit the ball levels were fun, but the core mechanics of the game really didn't need the wii remote.

Mario Kart put some life back into my Wii. I played 2-player online for about 3 months solid and it had me liking the Wii again but its started wearing thin ive played it so much and the Wii is presuming the off status. If you havent got Mario Kart Wii yet though I highly recommend it!

Haven't touched mine for ages, unfortunately any games I want, i.e TW 09 I'll go for the PS3 version due to being in HD..

Mario galaxy was excellent but after that there's little else I'm interested in.

was i the only 1 smart enough to return it for a full refund the same week i bought it:p
jokes aside...it seems to be selling because of the way its advertised.
fat ppl will lose weight if they buy it.
stupid ppl will become smarter.

Never bought one, after the farce that was the gamecube which should have sent Nintendo down the pan the Sega did but they brought the Wii out which is a great machine but its still lacks the gaming side that the 360 or the PS3 offers, I have never bought one due to the waste of money the Gamecube was but my sister has and it just offers very little in rememberable gaming apart from Wii sports that I have played which was fun but hardly something that sticks in my mind.

Nintendo is great they have made a huge profit on the Wii and I think they made a profit on the gamecube because of its lacking features compared to the PS2 and Xbox but I really do hope they can spend some of that money a amazing console and games and get back to the days they made ground breaking console games.

Still got mine. Never really play it anymore. It is used more to watch stuff on bbc I player when i cba turning on my computer. I have Zelda,Mario and Metroid that I haven't even finished. Infact i would say my gamecube games get more use on the Wii then the actual Wii games itself. Yes Nintendo are rolling in it but i want my F-Zero, Pikmin, Starfox, Donkey Kong, Harvest Moon. Etc etc

Nintendo have easily been the number 1 games developers for the past 20 years yet since the Wii has been released I have seen nothing with the exception of Mario and Zelda (Even though that was developed mostly on the GC). It's kinda sad that all the time i wanted Ninty to be number 1. Now that they have got there I much preferred them as number three doing their own thing making legendary games to be remembered.

They are making a killing because the hardware costs next to nothing to produce so every Wii is a profit, unlike PS3s and 360s

Microsoft do make a profit on 360's sold, not sure about Sony but they won't be far off it.

I have never understood the fuss with Nintendo, I don't think they are the best developers for the past 20 years, no chance.

By reading this thread it seems like there is going to be so many used wii's for sale very soon ,time to buy maybe.

Hasn't been turned on since Christmas, will sell it if demand goes crazy.

Not a single game out or coming out that I'm interested in, just re-hashes of old franchises, mostly badly done & for kids.

Still got my launch Wii, and to be honest its see's as much action as the PS3 & PC, whihc is quite a bit these days.
