How can you dive if there was clear contact? And if it was a dive then why wasn't he booked?
Two games, two penalty decisions for Celtic - Just remember they even themselves out over the course of the season - it would be great to start in two weeks time and see the difference in reaction![]()

Utter utter drivel.
To say "Caldwell didn`t bring the player down" and " he dived" and "The contact was not enough to make the player fall over" is more or less what i expect of followers of Steak Pie FC.
Desperation.
I`m not for a minute saying the referees are biased, just that they are chronically poor.
There is another theory that the years of intimidation of referees by timothy is now paying dividends, however, i`d rather not go down that route.
For now.![]()

Pretty sure any neutral .... 100% dive.
Every commentator / analyst on Setanta and BBC Scotland said it was a stonewall pentalty.
Are you telling me there not neutral and no nothing about football?
The guy from Setanta when interviewing Craig Levein said something along the lines. "How does it feel to have yet another decision go against your team, it was pretty clear to us it was a stone wall penalty"

Yes. Well at least one or the other, occasionally both. Although it's possible they are simply courting controversy as well seeing as it is good for their profession.
Although they didn't have much to say about Rangers getting a controversial free-kick and penalty for each of their goals yesterday however... not to mention a Hearts player sent off for diving whilst a Rangers players dive gets a free-kick. Neither do any of the Rangers fans or alleged fans of other teams in this thread either... strange that.

He fouled McManus before it even got to the Caldwell tackle. When the Caldwell challenge came in he waited before throwing himself to the ground. If you watch it you can see that Caldwell pulls his leg back and there is minimal contact. It does look reckless from a distance though.
I would say JVOH's bear hug on Wilkie in the first half was more of a penalty.
What is Steak Pie FC out of interest? Cause Skippy and Boruc are fatties?![]()

It is an attempt to "deflect and deny" the fact that Rangers are MINCE!

Let`s agree to disagree on this one mate.

No one bothering with this thread?![]()
He is apparently hesitant to explain it. I know what it refers to, and, like many steak pies, it's incredibly tasteless, somewhat bitter and rather hard to swallow. But hey, it's all just a bit of banter so that's OK!Fair enough mate. What does the Steak Pie FC thing mean btw, seen it a few times now. Cheers.

A weekend of poor refereeing decisions again dominate the headlines.
I think this over 45 years old rule on Ref`s needs to be scrapped. Hugh Dallas was and probably still is the best referee we`ve had for decades and he`s retired at 46.
The standard is just absolutely dire and i feel now is the time to pilot TV footage for marginal decisions.
Referees cannot continue to be the main talking point among fans after games.
Anyway, back to the actual league table. C*ltic claw back 2 points with a 3-0 trouncing of Falkirk as Rangers are denied all 3 points with a staggeringly poor offside decision by the linesman.
Mendes looks an absolute steal at 3m and i didn`t like what i saw of Maloney on Saturday. Looks much more polished as a player and some of his link up play was scarily good.
Derby day should be good this coming weekend. Just a pity it`s come too soon for Barry Ferguson.
Inverness CT 1-1 Hibernian
McRod, what does the Steak Pie FC thing mean?
