hi

have the modu 82+ 625 in one pc works great

think my other pc has a dodgy psu - sometimes the cpu fan is even sticking on stsart up

anyway

as the modu 82+ 625 is out of stock now (its real quality product byt the way) what do you reckon to the Enermax Infiniti 720W EIN720AWT ?

i like modular cables now - i've seen the light

how is this for noise ?

heard it stays on when pc turned off for a while - the pc its for is on 24/ 7 so don't think i'll be hearing that :)

thanks

I have the Infiniti 720, its 1 of the best PSU's you can buy period.

That's why it cost more than a Corsair or Antec who don't even make the PSU's anyhow.

Also nice to RMA in UK if it did fail.

only thing i've heard is that its a bit noisier or should i say not as quiet ?

i'm assuming its a normal size psu not a galaxy stretch version

quick edit - just read a review mentioning its a great PSU but has an annoying
start up noise?

If you want a PSU thats sold as Silent but is loud as a hoover as it ramps up too quick, buy a OCZ. :)

The Above PSU is as Silent as they come, mines is sitting at 1152 RPM now, the noise of my Raptors spinning (not Seeking) is the loudest part of my PC (more so as side window and fan hole in it).

Now you do the Math, a 135mm Fan doing 1152RPM, should it be quiet ?. ;)

Not slagging it m8 just passing on the review - but does it have an annoying

we have to know these things . . .

as my other pc has an enermax modu 82+ 625 i know they make great gear

Hmm not sure what noise you mean at startup, do you mean the fan going full speed till it gets controlled by temp ?.

I ain't noticed it unlike my older Antec's and even it did it would be only for a few seconds.

Take my advise, read at least 1 dozen reviews of anything you are thinking of buying. ;)

Definitely not, ~1000rpm is maximum limit for silent 12cm fan and bigger diameter means higher velocity at same RPM so turbulence noise of blades rises compared to 12cm fan.
Also I don't know is bearing of those fans how good.

Weird that they use non Japanese caps in secondary for such high quality brand? (cutting costs=more profit...)
Or maybe they have to save in capacitors because they use very complex, surely expensive to make heatsinks.

I think though enermax try and repair or repair them they don't give you a brand new one ?

No idea never had reason to use the RMA, I have thrown Antec and OCZ in the bin as I ain't sending a housebrick (weight) to .NL.

As my second PSU in 6 six months has "died" :(

In february, after just over a years service my Liberty 620W, quite literally went "pop" (luckilly it didnt take anything wih it).

A swift email got me an RMA number and within 5 days of posting the PSU back I had a brand new replacement (now sat on my shelf as a spare
