C702 replacement suggestions?

After much research I decided the C702 was the ideal replacement for my W810i.
I've had it a couple of days now and I am not impressed in the slightest with the camera, compared to the W810i. No matter what I try they come out looking rubbish. Have I got a duff one or is this typical?

Suggestions for an alternative are welcome.
Decent camera is a must, as is video capability. 3G required.
GPS would be nice, as would wifi.

Doesn't sound right. C702's camera with image stabilizer should beat the heck out of 2Mpixel in W810. I suppose you tried changing resolution to 3MP, picture quality to fine and metering to "normal"? And don't use zoom at all (digital only, so it's better to crop stuff later than zoom onto it).

Do you have any sample pictures you could post?

v0n, I took some pictures for comparison; shoot mode-normal, scenes-auto, res-3MP, focus-auto, metering-normal, white balance-auto, quality-fine. No zooming. Similar as I could get!
The first one looks like an improvement, but the others are more indicative of what I'm seeing. Is the image stabilisation automatic or do I need to turn it on somewhere? I couldn't find it if so. It looks like the W810i is better in anything other than bright daylight, and less susceptible to wobbly hands! I was expecting an improvement in the quality. Am I doing something wrong?

It doesn't look right. Especially picture of the unit. C702 has autofocus, that picture looks simply out of focus rather than shaky.
 
Same as the Op went ftom a k800i to the c705, love the GPS but lack of Xeon flash means the phone is useless in low light. Going to get a n82 but cant seem to see it on the Carphone warehouse site (got a credit note so have to buy from there). Anyone know when its widly available?

Awesome phone... :D Best one i have ever had! I swore off Nokia years ago as they all became big and slow :( BUT now im sworn off Sony Ericsson as they have shocking reliability issues (k850i anyone?!)!

So went with the n82, and i dont regret it at all! Does everything... pictures look good, proper flash, gps is handy (sports tracker is the best thing ever), wifi is funky to have (using unsecured ones for youtube whilst at work lol, not always tho, unlimited internet is fab), quite sure it takes up to 16GB cards (i have an 8gb), pulled some movies off DVD put them on the phone (transformers and superbad :D), fast menu and operation too, love keeping apps open and just jumping back to them, loud speaker for music etc...

I love it! :) hehe! Like the n95-8gb really... just not as fat n slidy and with a better flash, tho smaller screen!
