Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

it depends on the show, but some will end up giving out freebie tickets just to get people in, obviously some dont need to.
my two strongest recommendations to check out:
Richard Herring: The Headmasters Son
Jason Cook: Joy

Herring is just very very good at what he does, and the show's interesting.
Jason Cook is also very good at what he does but it's very different and the show will move you
 
Well I gotta say,what a truly fantastic couple of days Ive had, what a city, what a great bunch of people, and what a truly multicultural atmosphere (well fromwhat i could tell anyway!)

The street performers I came across were brilliant, the few shows I got in were also excellent, nice compact tight venues, where you could really interact with the comics.

Im definately going again next year.

Only one downside, the food was dear, and the train from Aberdour was cancelled and I ended up driving and parking at the Omni, its cost me £19 flipping quid for 12 hours:(

Lol - thats quite reasonably priced for Edinburgh. Glad to hear you enjoyed your visit though, hope the horrible weather didn't spoil it too much for you either?

Well it only rained once from what I could tell, which was ok tbh, i was expecting snow,considering how close you lot are to the north pole :p
