Anyone here got a Thai Bride or similar?

Well I know of somebody who had a thai wife and she was the stereo-typical gold digger with the hidden boyfriend and they skimmed whatever they could get until they were rumbled.

The blokes life dived bombed after all that.
 
One of my online mates did this. He went over to Veitnam on his own for a "holiday". Unsurprisingly he came back saying he met the "one". He is marrying her next yr and moving to Veitnam.

He showed us some photo's and she is fat and butt ugly, we assumed he didn't have mular for the Grade A chicks.

Hope he doesn't read these forums :p

That guy "lake"......so sad. He was so desperate.

I think as with all things there's a wide spectrum of examples.

From dating agency intro that develops in to a loving marriage right down to buyng a bride who will then try to take you to the cleaners.

Desperate times call for desperate measures?

In America a certain group of women advertise on Craiglists looking for men to have children with them. These women are fairly large and are ONLY looking to have kids and nothing more so don't care about having a relationship. They advertise what kind of "man" they are looking for, must be smart, well built etc etc it's really quite scary.
 
Lake and that old man that owns the dating agency are creepy as hell and very deluded as to what true love is. Yes, a lot of these women are stunning, but you can see they are only in it for a deal and has nothing to do with feelings. It's written all over there faces. And that poor girl that married that old man, you can tell from a mile off that she was press-ganged by him into a relationship she obviously didn't want.

Lake may be luckly through as he seemed to go for lady of equal age and standing. Not like a granddad and the child relationship of the other two
 
It is wrong, you should marry for love, not money, Sex I can understand to an extent but this is wrong. Would rather be single.

But then again the thai people seem to treat the women as slaves, if they are happy rather than just money then I could understand a bit more.

This thread inspired me to look at Thai bride websites last night (purely for research purposes) - to be fair, most of them on the website were complete munters. And the agency wanted £2k for the introduction fee too!

What I can't fathom is why someone who looks like that (or the others already pasted above) would even need to look outside of her local town for love, let alone country. Is it purely a money thing? And if so surely one high maintenance girlfriend/wife is just as bad as another, wherever they're from?

If I wrote a full explanation it'd take younks, and I'm at work, but there is so so many factors, and it's a bit unnerving that people seem to think you actaully buy them, or that you must have lots of money etc. (half-hearted response here !)
