A few days back somebody here in GD linked to either a game or video. A couple of people using Avast got warnings, and I'm presuming the thread was closed.

However I didn't get any sort of warning using Spybot (thanks very much) and since then, I am intermittently uploading data at ~60kbs for a few seconds.

Just wandering what was the name of that trojan?

Spybot won't flag any warnings, it's not an Active AV Program. If you'd have used a proper AV program, NOD, Kaspersky, Avast etc. it would have flagged the virus you mentioned.

A good online scanner is F-Secure, we've been using it to wipe out the UPS virus that's been going round.

I'm using NOD, and I got no warnings about it. Assumed after reading the thread it was just some signature of the game that had some similarity to a trojan.

Helen? Ajax? Achilles?

*n

I've tried yelling all those names, but nobody's answering.

Download Avast and run a scan. It's free and you should have a decent AV anyway.

I have Avira already installed - but full system scans of this and Spybot S&D have yielded nothing.

Mmm..this isn't that phorm thing is it? B.T. are currently my I.S.P.

I hadn't realised that the problem involved would be a virus. Being that (as stated) the problem was a trojan I would have thought Spybot would have nabbed it. Or does trojan = virus?

Does anybody have it's name?
A trojan is malware, and not within the confines of Spybots anti-spyware remit.
