ok, so id like to spend 3.5k on a car.

Engine pref. 2.2 or lower, under 80k miles, diesel or petrol

Looking to get something big like a focus (example of size) not something like a corsa :)

thank you

I'll seek help elsewhere, thanks.

No worries, don't let the door hit you on the way out.

If you want us to give up some of our time to help you out - which most of us here are only too happy to do - you could do us the courtesy of perhaps being a little more polite and answernig questions we might have to try and make sure whatever advice we give to is useful with a little more than just 'because I want to'.

Otherwise pop to your local car supermarket, they'll be more than happy to assist you with a car that meets your budget and criteria. It won't be the best car for your needs, but then if you apply strict criteria to the business of purchasing something you know little about, what more can you expect.

The point which was trying to be made before you threw your toys all over the forum (I think West accidently trod on your dummy, you should apologise) was that applying strict 'must be under 2.2' 'must be under 80k' criteria is a bit daft. You need to look at what you want and need from a car and then let people recommend stuff that fits that. It might be that an 85k mile Focus, which is outside your criteria, is better for you to buy than a 60k mile Astra, for example. But you'll never know if you stick so rigidly to things.
