I've lived in Stoke (Stoke itself) all my life, and while yes it going slightly downhill compared to what it used to be at it's prime it's still one of the best places to live and work. You couldn't ask for a more friendly place to live, the people around here are great.

True story Azagoth.
Today I went to see one of my students who lives very close to you and I asked a bloke where ****** was.
He said "Sorry mate, I'm not local, I don't have a clue".
I said "But you've got a Stoke accent"
He said "Yeah, I'm from Fenton".

(Stoke + Fenton are next to each other :))

When I was at college I worked part time as a labourer for a roofing firm, they had a contract to replace some of the roofs of some council houses in Meir.

To cut a long story short we downed tools while the police seized a firearm and we took refuge behind a large pile of roof tiles.

Dodging my questions and giving me other interesting points/comments...you could be a politician. :p

As tempted as I am, I think my current employers would bust a nut, and I do enjoy where I am...plus, only here for a year, then back to uni. :)

One of the worst places in Stoke.
Last week I had to go to Meir Health Centre has a potential place to send placements and I scrubbed it off because of all the people who were actually shooting up outside.

We were shot at, so it seems shooting is still the in thing in Meir.

I'd be very interested in applying - sadly the daily commute alone means I'd have to start at ~2am :(

120 quid a day in petrol will be a killer :o

What's the minimum amount of time you'd be looking to employ someone for? I go to University in October, but would be interested in applying to work for the next four/five weeks or so. I live 20 minutes away.

Would think it depends on what you could add to the team. :)

Drop your CV in and Rupert will have a look over it. Never hurts!
