All New Summer 2008 Transfer Merry Go Round/Rumour Mill

I can't believe Benitez would start selling fringe players to buy Barry! Gareth Barry! You could probably get two quality players for Barry's price, rather than just an average midfielder.

was reading something earlier whereas rafa only has the backing of 1 owner for barry, i think parry has swayed the other.

Parry is a cancer tbh

If he won't play with any width up front, then he really needs two amazing overlapping wing backs much like Brazil and now Chelsea. If Chelsea play how they did at the weekend with Bossingwa and Cole overlapping their fantastic midfield I think few teams will have much joy against them.

As a Liverpool fan I am gutted that we didn't sign Daniel Alves a few seasons ago when the rumors were we could have got him for around £10 million. There are so few people about who can both attack and defend well on the wing that I personally think he should give up on the idea and use two proper wingers (David Silva and Ricardo Quesmera would be outstanding). Think we are more likely to get another 10 central mid players than get a decent winger though.

And yes Parry is cancer for LFC. If they had put forward the idea of the fans buying the shares when they wanted out we would be in a much better position than with the American chuckle brothers at the helm

Parry's a **** who simply can't do his job. Everything Hicks said about him the other month was spot on and had anybody other than Hicks said it then they'd have had the full backing of the fans.

As for the yanks, **** knows what's happening there. They say they've made up but that's highly doubtful, however they agreed last year that Parry handles all transfer negotiations. If what Hicks has told Rafa (about the money being there) is true then the only thing blocking the deal is Parry.

Parry has really terrible teeth

you would think someone who is in his position could afford to get them fixed

Christ SSN have their transfer window countdown timer up already.

Only 13 days 6 hours 16 mins to go.

Ameobi's move to Ipswich is off - he's carrying an hamstring injury which became apparent during his medical apparently.

I agree, every year negotiations for our main target drag on and on and its all down to him. I would hate to think how many transfers we have missed out on thanks to his dithering

Aye Parry needs to go. He's been here too long and has let us down on numerous occasions with dilly-dallying around transfers. We need a new owner that can make decisions without having to get "permission" from another party.

Riera or Downing would be a nice addition to our squad considering the utter void we have on the wings at the moment.

Agreed that Parry needs to go, and probably should have gone a few years ago. I really don't understand how he's got the bottle to show his face at the club anymore. After all the fuss over the years trying to find “the right buyer” for the club, only then to have a last minute change of heart and sell to the Americans was a farce and the final nail in the coffin for Parry.

If they're only worried about value for money then I think we should try and sign Silver even though he's said he doesn’t want to leave Valencia. Things tend to look more appealing when there's a firm offer on the table.

According to Spurs Community, Fergie is having Barry-style problems with his bid for Berbatov.

Fergie wants to match Spurs' valuation but the American owners are unwilling.
