Hi everyone,

Two new videos have just been released today on Gamespot that feature interviews with the devs of OFP2 with actual in-game footage being played in the background!

Senior Producer Brant Nicholas gives us our First Peek at Operation Flashpoint 2:

One of the best things about arma and ofp was that you had big groups like shacktac who would get two big teams of people together to play missions using real tactics. In this you wont be able to do that? 4 plays coop, thats nothing for a game like ofp.

Way to potentially ruin one of the best multiplayer modes :'(

Doesnt it still include that.. just the single player missions in coop are limited to 4 players?

I wonder if they will make it easy for the mod community to sort out any shortcomings of the PC version?

Plus OPF required a full keyboard, how are they going to dumb down the console versions with a pad?

The gfx look amazing though, plus i liked the way the guy described tactics, movements etc. Heres hoping they get this right. Will demo it first though to make sure.

Another vote for opf2. If they can get the path following and other AI routines to work well, it could be a real winner. Is Armed Assault better now than say patch 2/3? I have not yet reinstalled as it was a bit of a mess (single player) when I last played it.

Really starting to look forward to this, after the disappointment that was ARMA and what will be ARMA2 this will be the saving grace of the much loved memory of the original OPF.

Campaign COOP to! do you know whether that will require more than 1 copy to play on a LAN Rotter?

I'm afraid at this stage I don't have that information.

Glad to hear you guys are liking the footage though, there will be plenty more OFP2 related stuff being released at Leipzig in the coming days so stay tuned for more updates :)

Ohh Ohh Can't wait till I get home and watch these.

I remember once taking part in a huge campaign online in OPF iirc, took hours and I never stayed till the end but it was just so well organised.

Cross comms/leaders giving you instruction and locations to attack with recon!

I was in a truck (it's been so long now) I think ferrying people to/from landing grounds to a stronghold we took over!
