I'd kill to see a movie based on the 40k universe... however it would be rock solid to get it right, and would probably end up a mess. Unless they did it purely animated (like the original DOW intro) in which case they could do what they liked with regards to effects I LOVE the fluff myself and while I odn't play the game, I read as much lore and background info as I can. That's kinda what I meant despite my badly worded post! It would all be CGI rendered. I would still pay good money to see more videos like the start intro. :)
 
My friend had heard about a movie, done in Germany but wasn't going to be released due to German copyright law meaning for them to release it would mean the film maker would acquire all the rights to the whole Games Workshop IP, so reasonably GW blocked it's release.

It's called Damnatus if anyone wants a look. Looks a bit shoddy to me.

A proper GW endorsed CGI film would rock though, and I'd definitely pay to watch it. Can't see the scale of things working for anything but CGI really. Not that many giant men walking around to play the Space Marines.

I was thinking that, but I reckon they should find HUGE actors to do it instead, parts of the LOTR played with my head the way the hobbits seemed to change size from scene to scene. Mind you all they need to do is use the typical Hollywood midgets (Tom Cruise etc) for any normal humans and actors like 6'2+ and you'd have enough size difference. ;)

Yep, would pay to watch a similar quality Warhammer 40K CGI film.

Yea sorry for not "googling" my spelling I just find it amusing that someone would find an intro anything but instantly forgettable.
Let alone want a film based on it, I guess i'm just more mature then :D

And for the record, my girlfriend is at work and I have a week off to watch plenty of trailers and intro videos. ;)

How on earth do you relate maturity to being impressed by an intro video? The irony is every post you are making in this thread makes you come accross as some dim little kid trying to prove he's "really really cool". I mean seriously, why would you ever even feel the need to mention your girlfriend multiple times unless you had some major insecurity issues? The mind boggles.

You lost me with the "googling" comment to be honest. I wasn't asking you to look anything up, just making a comment about the way your grammar is presented in all your posts. Ever. I'm not a grammar Nazi by any stretch, but at least break up your sentences.

I also don't understand why you have to be immature to appreciate the video posted here. Do you shut your eyes during the trailers at the cinema for fear of looking like a child for watching? Have you never seen a trailer for a film and thought "Oh wow, that looks pretty good! I might go and see that upon release!"?

Oh right. Your girlfriend. That would have prevented you from ever watching an advert, trailer or introduction. I understand. Took me a while but i'm right there with you.

I wish i had a girlfriend so that i could be mature.
 
Meh, the intro video was alright. Nothing that special really. I only enjoyed it because for a short while I enjoyed DoW and I love the Eldar. <3
