As title really, I currently have an 8800GT plugged into my hyper 580 psu via the 6 pin pci-e pin.

Will the three cards listed above fit in my antec 300 and do they require only 1 6 pin pci-e plug?

I dont wanna be buying a new psu and case as well.

ty 4 ** helps

they need a 6 pin and 8 pin, some cards might come with an adapter, you might have to mod the hd cage to fit the cards, the psu should be fine fore 20,4870 not sure bout 260

I don't know if all 3 will fit in your case but each card requires...
GTX 280 - 1x6pin and 1x8pin
GTX 260 - 2x6pin
ATI 4870 - 2x6pin

ok this is good, think i have a spare 6 pin pci-e cable. Looks like ill have to look at the 260GTX, is it the same speed as the 4870? I hear people are overclocking it close to 280GTX?

Is overclocking easy to do?

Well just so you know the 260 is an inch longer than the 4870. Also i think when decent tools become available the 4870 will overclock around the same as the 260. The asgard has 880 core on his 4870 atm. For now though the 260 definately has the better overclocking ability. Out of interest what games are you going to be playing as thats what i would base my purchase on.

If I had to take an average from user reports and the benchmarks I've seen from launch date up until now I'd have to say that the 4870 is faster in the majority of titles that have been getting used in benchmarks. If the games you play vary from the ones that users have been reporting and that of the reviewers, then your experience could be different.

So the best advice I can give is to do the research for yourself by looking at the numerous reviews and see what card would give you the best performance in the games you play. If you're higher than 1920x1200 then it's the GTX 260 no doubt. 1920x1200 and under then it's down to the benefits of each card in the titles you play.

Edit: TheRealDeal has beaten me to it :).

Thats the thing I dont really need the g cfard at all :p

I play tf2 70% of the time, css 20% and cod4 5% and footy man 2008 5%.

Im kinda buying if for games in the winter.

i game at 1680 v 1050

I dunno if I need to buy one tbh

I don't need the 4870 that's coming tomorrow either :D. My games are running perfectly and look absolutely fantastic on the 8800GTX but I just want to mess around with something different whilst getting a decent gain.
