Police dogs

If the police sent dogs after you, and in your defence you serious hurt or even killed the dog. Would you get prosecuted? Or is it self defence?

Trainers are never far behind, so I don't see how it would ever get to the point where you needed to act in self-defence.
 
I imagine you would be in serious trouble. Mind you, for them to even send dogs after you in the first place you would have to be in major trouble anyway.
 
i'm pretty sure i've seen on american cop shows where they've had extra charges for 'assaulting an officer'
 
Just as a place i went to take the pictures of the inside, is supposidly a police dog "run". They supposidly have permission to let the dogs wander about inside. For training purposes im guessing. Imagine if i was inside (its a massive place) and the handler let the dog off its leash inside *gulp*
 
well they are Officers theoretically...Well, Police associates :p

So yeah...Why? What have you done then? :rolleyes:
 
If a dogs been sent after you and you kill it/seriously injure it then it's criminal damage to property and (possibly) animal cruelty charges.

If you've committed an offence then its not 'in your defence' to injure the dog as it was detaining you. It's the same if a PC was arresting you and you hit him 'in your defence'.

If you manage do kill a police dog then you either have a gun, or are insanely hard, hard to the point where you eat steel girders

EDIT: Oh, and police dogs are not 'officers' in the UK. They're animals like any other, and hence under British law are considered 'property'. I used to work with them (training), you'd be hard pressed to kill one trust me ;)

Nah. If you don't mind losing an arm, or have a padded arm, you can knock a dog out. Assuming you're sober, hard and insane.

You can't outrun them, either :D

All the ones I work with seem to go for the arm WITHOUT the padding on...

The only way i could think of is to ram your hand down its throat when it jumps at you to try and choke it.

LOL Outside of police dogs (GSDs) I've worked with dogs that had a penchant for hitting the face first, and even saw one trained to grab the balls and hold on tight :eek:
