Bluebottle crazy!!!!!!!!

Hey folks!

So I came home at lunch to find my mum telling me she has had to kill about 30 bluebottles around the house! The majority being upstairs in mine and my brothers rooms.

When I thought it was an exageration, I went up to my room to find around 5 dead ones, on the floor, and one, would you believe, had the cheek to be on the duvet of my new bed.

And kept seeing more!

I closed the windows upstairs, and since then, there does not seem to have been any...
I was sure I heard one buzzing when I came back from work, but cannot find it, I might have been hearing things though!

We looked in the loft for a dead bird or something, but nothing, looked outside at the roof and it looks ok, the window isnt exactly swarming with them from the outside...

We don't have any pets, so I can't see whats caused this... It's also a brand new decorated room so nothing dirty! Our house is immaculate.

Pesky things!
 
There'd be loads more, as since the windows have been closed, none have appeared, so im guessing it's either from the roof, or outside somewhere, or just theyve gone...
 
Back in my school days we went on one of those adventure trips where you stay in dorms, we kept getting bluebottles in our room and one boy found the nest in the windcill. It was a hole the size of a 5 pence piece, so they really do come from anywhere good luck finding the source! :(

On this trip, it didn't help that the boy hit the hole repeatedly with his slipper until they stormed out and we had hundereds of flies in the room :mad:

Bluebottles for the lose. I hate those ********. I remember swatting one on the window when I was little and loads of little baby maggots oozed out of it
 
It was a zombie bluebottle, and those were it's brains making a last frantic effort to devour you =/

You should count yourself lucky to have escaped with your limbs intact!

I was going for some fand-digly reply. However I realised that if you put loads of spaces at the start of the sentance to try and "push" the first word across to the right, the forums just push it back to the left hand side again.

I edited, then bah'd out of it.

I know what you mean! We had loads like that at work the other year. Hit it with a magazine then drown the wriggly things in wd40. Then apply flame :D
