Got to do some overtime in Leeds tomorrow, parking in the city centre.
As this 'clashes' with this festival, can I expect things to be extra busy, parking wise please?
Thanks,
J

It will be a nightmare. Where are you travelling from?

It took a friend of mine 1 hour to travel from Leeds (Bramham) to Wetherby on A1 which is usually less than 5 minutes last night.

Good Luck :)

I think you can expect there to be some extra traffic being a bank holiday weekend, and also the people with festival day passes going to leeds. However the bulk of the festival traffic will be over now, and the cars will be parked up on the site, out of the town centre, so i reckon you should be ok.

I thought I would be okay, work mate seems to think it will be a total nightmare.
Might set of early just in case.
People at the festival aint going to be paying £5 for two hours parking on a saturday anyway, I hope.

Nottingham and im leaving at about 6 tomorrow, M1 not A1. So better road and better timing. Should miss it all one hopes.

I doubt Leeds city centre would be that much busier. It tends to hit the roads around where I am much worse, in East Leeds.

I can hear it through my window right now, it sounds immense.:)

Leaving at 5am should be ok and coming from Nottingham will be a bonus - you'll miss the A1/M1 section and head into Leeds on the M621.

Just a note though - steer clear of South Yorks Sunday - M1 is closed all day as they are demolishing the cooling towers close to Meadowhall.

Well.. you can hear RATM as they interview wombats.. lol

They cant even talk about it.. one guy was "air drumming" along to Rage as you can hear them.. but Edith clearly has been told to not speak of it.

WTF!

They cant even talk about rage?
How stupid, they are probably one of the biggest bands there and the bbc are pretending they dont exsist?

Does anyone else find Zane Lowe cringy sometimes...

I mean he is obviously pure class to hang out with, but he seems to be cheesey sometimes..

I dont know :p ROCK ON DUDE

Rage dont want to be filmed, they dont want that type of publicity, i guess you can understand given what they are all about

id take a guess that they wont allow filming because theyre going to release a live dvd and charge 10-15quid for it ;)

lol i guess they can.

You could look at it both ways about them not being filmed, up their own, or really dont want the glorified filming.

Either way, loved it if they brought new stuff out
