Finished rewatching ToHeart earlier ... I double dipped on it now TRSI have released a thinpak boxset with fixed audio over the original release.
I like this franchise, the original visual novel was an early example of school based environment where the focus is on the characters and their everyday lives instead of having masses of large complicated plots. This led on in time to the other popular series we see today. For those who don't know there are various games in the franchise, some of which are adult in nature, but the anime's are all normal with relatively little in the way of fanservice.
The anime adaptations consists of the original ToHeart and ToHeart ~ Remember My Memories ~. Only the first of these has been licensed. The second series continues to follow the characters from the first as they progress. After this came ToHeart2 as a series, then 3 OVAs and most recently two new OVAs under ToHeart2 Another Days. ToHeart2 keeps the same environment but adds a whole new set of characters. The second ToHeart series is, IMHO, the weakest of them all which may put a damper on future licensing. Also as the first two series are getting on a bit now their animation style is looking a bit dated.
I'm not sure why I like these series, not a great deal happens in them but they are just comfortable to watch. I do prefer the more modern ToHeart2 episodes but the first series is still a good way to pass the time. I hope that more of this franchise are licensed in the future.
