Do you have to sign for a new car on finance when you pick it up?

If you are buying with Finance you will typically set up the arrangement prior to collection so they can seek finance approval and put the appropriate paperwork in place. You will then be asked to sign this on collection and will normally need to provide 2 separate documents with your home address on such as bills etc. If it is all correct and you MUST MUST MUST double check it all stacks up as you were told and your details are correct it should take about 15 minutes tops to sort.

You still have a few days to pull out of the deal after signing if you find a better arrangement, though you will of course need to arrange the transfer of monies etc.

Well no, I can't be 100% sure as I have not asked them all but if you are buying a car on finance you will have to sign something at sometime of that I can be 100% sure. May I ask what is driving the question?
 
I have just rang a dealer up and all you have to sign on collection is an acceptance form that you are happy with the car.

The finance has to take 24 hours to go through though first.

If you are taking out finance to fund your purchase and that finance is being provided by that dealer you WILL have to sign a finance arrangement. If you have done this already you are all set and will simply sign the delivery acceptance form. If you have not they will not let you take the car from the garage until you do, that I can 100% assure you. I have bought well over 10 cars from main dealers using finance in some form another so I am speaking from extensive experience.
 
What about the final payment, or early settlement, for ownership, can anyone pay for that, or does it have to be the person who first took out the finance?
