2008 European GP - Race 12/18

Yep you're right. Confirmed.

Former world champion Fernando Alonso says he is 'proud' of the support he has had from fellow drivers to help pay tribute to the victims of the Madrid air crash.

The Spaniard is wearing a black armband this weekend and, after playing a role in getting support from the F1 paddock for a three-minute silence on Friday, he has helped distribute Spanish flag stickers for drivers to wear on their helmets in the race

Not a fan of this new track, maybe it'll grow on me but i've never been much of a fan of these close wall to circuit tracks.

So what do you think of Raikonnen dannyjo?
Massa has been showing him up more times this season than viceversa!

I used to really like Kimi, thought he was going to be the driver to beat once MS retired. He was always ginving it 100% and totally commited on the track.

I no longer think that. An F1 race weekend seems to be an irritation that gets in the way of his day to day life.

I also think he won't listen to much help setting the car up from wiser heads. He gets lost and gives up. I think he's achieved his goal and is just taking the money. I think mclaren gave him a lot more support than he gets at ferrari or gave him a car more to his liking.

The Kimi that nearly won the title in an inferior macca and could revover races from poor grid slots seems long gone.

Lets not forget though after 5 or 6 races last year Kimi was rumoured to be on borrowed time.

I hope he can get it back, but I don't think he cares.

Perhaps you should look at videos such as these sunama and ask why these guys werent penalised before playing the FerrariInter.. bla bla bla ;)

3 separate infarctions there.
Obviously jumped on the bandwagon too soon ;) No other team were penalised due to their pit crew releasing their driver into oncoming cars as can be seen from the video. So if anything Massa has been screwed out of 10k Euros imho.

Excellent find and post, don't expect anyone to notice though or respond. The blinkers are on.

Then you mustve been asleep through some of the races :D
Like you were asleep when you missed when I said "and still win"? All very well overtaking people but he still hasn't won a race purely on merit when he hasn't led into the first corner.
The last one is just Massa making fun of you :D
Notice how he's not sitting in the middle? :p

maybe next year we will see massa win from less than front row if the rule changes work as planned

as for kimi he is finished in my opinion and ferrari would do well to get rid of him asap might i suggest they take a good look at vettel i know ferrari is not known for taking a gamble but that guy has some talent going on

While we're having a pop at MB & JA, can I add my rant?

Someone tech Martin Blundell to ******* speak properly! His CONSTANT use of the word "what" instead of "that" drives me nuts!

And also they've got a laser what's scanned the whole circuit...

ARG!!!

Well to be honest I did fall asleep halfway through your post :P (joke ;)) No I did see that part too :) But you made really made it sound like Massa doesnt even know how to overtake at all.

And with regard to noticing hes not sitting in the middle. Yes I did.

But guess where he was sitting today ;)

In fairness, I will give Kimi the benefit of the doubt.
Massa had this kind of dry spell as well last year if you remember.

And also remember, Raikonnen was much further behind in the championship last season and still managed to win it. A win these doesnt count as much as it did in the 10 6 4 3 2 1 era, and picking up the pieces when drivers infront tangle yields dividends.

i dont know he talks about retirement and what he is doing after f1 a bit too much not sure his mind is on it no more i am really surprised at massa this year with no tc i thought he was going to be lost

In all seriousness, I'm not saying Massa is crap, nor am I disputing his ability to overtake but I still find it very worrying that he's unable to win races unless he's leading into the first corner. He's great if he can control the race from the front but otherwise he gets easily flustered and starts making mistakes.

but your ignoring his drives from the back once again, was he flustered in canada or australia?

lewis aint won the last 2 races from being 2nd into the first corner and he is the messiah lol and he needed heikki to move for him in germany and britain

sad fact is track position when up front will win you races

Unless you're Schumacher :D

Sounds plausible, but I did not notice any damage on his car after the incident but maybe I missed it.
we went straight for an ad break, i didnt see kimis car once from the time he left the pits, to the time he was climbing out of it... lol.

hmm next year might be a problem then, because all that hot air can only exit at the rear of the car like before 1998 when all these vents started showing up
