For the uninitiated, perks are customisations that let you add certain skills to your in-game player, thus creating a custom class of soldier. Perks were a very popular part of Infinity Ward's award-winning hit game, Call of Duty 4.

Given their immense popularity Treyarch has decided to stick with them in Call of Duty: World at War.

Call of Duty 3 was also designed by Treyarch, the company that's developing World at War, hence a lot of people's scepticism.
 
for the average joe its ok perk it gets them kills.everyone cant be superstars on the gaming scene like me :p


there are loads of video about now and it looks very good . why keep using the cod3 game as some kind of benchmark i dont know :( all game companys make duff games now and again.

they made united offence and i think a lot forget this. that is considered by most as the best ever cod in the series.after that the consoley type play came in with auto aim type easiness that wasnt present in the first two games.


come early november 99% of cod4 people will be playing it and they know it.
 
Monkey [Climbing trees]
Frogman [Faster Swimming]
Play Dead [Ability to fake death]
Crouch Sprinter
Banzai [Inflict more damage with melee weapons]

From what i read these are the new perks, didnt notice any mention of airstrikes/napalm in there altho ive a funny feeling its a cert.

Play dead and Monkey sound interesting altho the play dead perk will need some working as in COD4 the body disappears after a few secs so im not sure how effective soemone will be playing dead.
 
Cannot, seriously, believe the devs have included martyrdom again, the lamest of lame perks.

Yes but it rewards players for playing poorly, if bad players are getting points for dying what incentive do they have to improve their game?

Last stand would be fine if they still had a red and blurry screen, moved slower and could only turn 180 degrees.

Kinda agree. I never even played COD3, but I don't feel it to be unjust to be skeptical about 5 after what I have heard. Still, it has my attention.
