Hi people, i just would like some tips on Portrait Photography, i know there is a lot more 2 it then capture someones face.
Reflectors for under the chin, coloured lights for the head/hair. Fuzzy backdrop for effect.
When you use a flash you'll probably get harsh shadows across the face/under the chin etc. By placing something reflective low down you can bounce some of the light back up to reduce the appearance of the shadows. This is better then placing flashes everywhere because a face without any shadows at all will probably look flat, boring and un-natural.
Also google 'bounce flash' and you should find some nice guides regards flash techniques.
Basically good portrait photograph is like all photography, it's all about the light, learn how to use it to your advantage and you're on your way to taking some great pictures.
Can i use a mirror as a reflector or maybe tin foil? i will deffently have to play around with it![]()
