The more I eat,the hungrier I get?

But it does make sense, becuase if there are more vegetarians, slowly the demand for meat products will go down, therefore less will be produced because less is being bought. simple stuff really

That one was about meet flavored products, demand for them would rise, and as would the need to out do your rivals in making them taste similar to real meat

Its coz they aint intelligent. I think its stupid that vegetarians dont eat meat because they dont like them been killed when its part of life and the food chain.

Not exactly, humans are high up the food chain, at the top if you include weaponry but that doesn't mean we have to eat meat. We have the choice, as Angillion correctly states we are omnivorous but very versatile so we can choose a diet that is solely vegetarian or contains meat and vegetables.

When I was little I remember going vegetarian for some odd reason, proberbly thought it was "cool" or something, yet I still ate chicken and fish :p

That rather explicitly means you were not vegetarian, you just eliminated red meat and most white meat from your diet. Distinctly a different proposition.

and the breeds of animals that you are trying to stop dieing will die out because there is no need for them any more...

Or perhaps more accurately their numbers would naturally reduce due to lack of demand so it would be mainly as pets they would be kept. That is assuming the highly unlikely scenario that everyone in the World turned vegetarian.

Quit the preaching! That's the one thing I bloody hate about you vegetarians, you're always preaching the moral high-ground. Well here's some news for you, I don't care! Nothing you say, or any of your brethren for that matter, will stop me from enjoying a tasty slice of dead animal flesh.

If you did not care you would not be getting ****** about my comments, but deep down you know its true :p

As for the preaching ,its ok for You and lots of other people on this thread to tell the op to eat lots of meat when he has said several times he is vegetarian ,double standards

I can see why your last 2 vege gfs finished with you :D

Have to love OcUK, just read OP and then jumped to the last page and somehow the convo has descended into talking about breeding animals :p :D

:p

Not really
Yes really - especially when it seems (from the OP) that his parents have not educated him on how to eat a balanced diet without meat (i.e. lots of nuts, high protein and iron sources to keep a health weight up). His weight is clearly far, if not dangerously below what a 14 year old boys should be (assuming is is about average height).

It is condemning him to ill health.

They must have, I cant see a little child deciding to turn into a vegetarian.

So in your estimation how old would you have to be to make the decision? I only ask because I was around 4 or 5 when I chose to stop eating meat, up to that point I had been given meat when I wanted although I was aware that my mum was vegetarian.

It is condemning him to ill health.

Can we be clear on this, being vegetarian does not automatically make you unhealthy. Not eating a good balanced diet can make you unhealthy.

I thought you said "forcing" your child to not eat meat by not buying it was disgusting, which by what you just said I do not think is the case, sorry.

Someone mentioned he had a 14.x BMI earlier, as much as BMI can be silly, that is idiotically low.

You really, really really need to make big changes.

I know it doesn't - but weighing 5 stone at 14 is dangerously underweight, even if he is well below an average height.

If parents educate a child into not eating meat, then they must educate him where to make up the protein, Iron and so on that he misses out on.

If he is the average height for a 14 year old male boy, then his BMI is between 12 - 3

well, I've always had a hell of a lot of vegetables in my diet, and often the food i eat contains lots of butter, I have milk with meals etc. so i think my diet isn't that bad, i stepped onto the scales the other day, and I was 5 1/2 stone, wtf? 1/2 a stone in a week or two?
