Films that make men cry

The Green Mile
Shawshank redemption

And the episode of "8 simple rules" after the dad dies (the actor actually died), I think thats though cause of the way they are actually sad and not just acting, but combined with the way as a its a comedy show they try and make jokes etc and lift the mood. Which is how i deal with grief so it just seems much harder to watch :(

*goes off to watch big manly films, and fight a bull*

Green Mile is the only film where I've actually cried. I don't even know why either, it wasn't really that sad.

That's one of the greatest and saddest TV episodes for any show I've ever seen, where Kelly Cuoco gets to the door in her dress and breaks down :(.

Land Before Time 2 when his mum dies, I was only about 8 when I saw it at the cinema and it traumatised me it was that heart-breaking at the time. Still does now too

That was actually number one. The real heartbreaking bit is where he sees his own shadow and thinks its his mum :(

The Lion King is pretty brutal for a kids film.

Off the top of my head, Crash and American History X both made me cry.

Never actually cried in a movie, but i thought the ending of Brokeback Mountain was quite sad.

Shawshank as well definitely. Pure awesomeness though.

Rudy...most of the brits here wouldn't have seen it...But Sean Ashton's character...man oh man...i'm welling up just thinking about it!

I've never really cried apart from a episode of Star Trek DS9. Forgot which one, but Sisko get's trapped in a subspace dimension (after some sort of accident) and the episode basically spans the near entirety of his son's life, which is spent trying to rescue his father. There's a scene where he meets his father (being considerably older than him, since Sisko is not aging) which was quite moving I thought and got me all mushy, lol.

I think I also cried when I first watched Terminator 2 (the final scene where arnie destroys himself), but that was ages ago when I was cry baby anyway.

Click, though being a Sandler film is quite emotional, makes you think about things.
Same, it was quite enexpected really.

Blood diamond, phone booth and unbreakable(the bit where dunns son starts crying at the end always gets to me) always get to me, same with american history x and vanilla sky but they've already been mentioned. Then again i am a bit of a cry baby....:D

I might have to watch grave of the fireflies....never heard of it before now

edit: forgot to mention the 'valerie' part of v for vendetta

Where's those mansize tissues when you need them.

edit: Bits of Arlington Road, although it's been a while since I last seen it, got to me.
