My First Custom Build:

PSU : OCZ 600w StealthXStream Silent SLI Ready ATX2 Power Supply
Case : Coolermaster Elite 340 MicroATX case
Cpu Cooler : Artic Cooling Freezer 7
Motherboard : Abit Fatal1ty F-I90HD ATI Micro Atx - Socket 775 PCI Express DDR2
GFX card: Powercolor ATI Radeon HD 4850 512mb GDDR3 TV Out/Dual DVI/ HDMI
Harddrive : Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 250Gb Sata II 16mb Cache - OEM
CPU : Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6700 ''LGA775 Kentsfield'' 2.66Ghz (1066 FSB)
RAM : Geil Black Dragon (2x2gb) PC2-8500c5 1066Mhz DDR2 Dual CHannel Kit

Im unsure about the Ram As im thinking of getting the OCZ (2x2gb) PC2-8500C5 1066 Mhz DDR2. Any Ideas which one?

Gonna be using this build for gaming (games like Oblivion, Cod4 etc)

Any comments?

The Ram is overkill there, you will only need decent PC6400 and even then it will still allow you to overclock fine.

Other than that it looks ok although I don't know too much about the case so I'm just assuming it is suitable.

Cheers guys, Ive changed the ram to GeIL 4GB (2x2GB) PC2-6400C5 800MHz Black Dragon DDR2. Probably change the seagate 250gb to the samsung 320gb aswell.

Is that Mobo alright ? Or can anybody recommend another good mAtX mobo, just a bit unsure about it.

Ditto the just get a q6600 - they overclock better than a q6700 sometimes anyway and ditto the modular psu - much easier to keep tidy in a MATX case.

Have a look at corsair on Enermax modular psus - yeah they cost more than the OCZ but both are much better psu's and modular to boot.

I have to due to the size of my desk space etc, Standard atx cases won't fit.

Couldnt you buy a small case or something. Because i had a quick read and mATX mobo's struggle to overclock compared to ATX.

Personally i would say just find a smaller case that hold ATX sized mobo's.

Whats everyone think? Any Tips for improving etc?

Will be running it on vista ultimate 32 bit, and using it mostly for gaming. Will be using an overclocked q6700. I can't changed this atm because i already have the chip off one of my mates. Will upgrade the CPU at a later date.

If you can, stretch to the Antec Three Hundred Case, absaloutely amazing case for the price.

Other than that, spec looks like it will become an awesome overclock:p
