ViewSonic shows off 22-inch 120Hz LCD monitor at NVISION 08

I wonder if this actually displays 120 frames a second or 60 frames with black frame insertion

Some HD-TV in past year or so have had 100-120HZ.

The 120HZ is needed to Multiply Blu Rays 24FPS by 5 to get smoother motion.

almost certainly either using BFI (which is barely considered 120Hz) or using interpolated 60 frames. This is what many LCD TV sets use, just the usual 60fps (55fps on British TV's) interpolated up to 100 / 120Hz

Yup, it's not possible to send 120hz over a DVI link at that res, so they'll be "bodging" it somehow with BGI or interpolation. If using interpolation, it probably won't be great and will more than likely add some input lag into the proceedings.

Surely if 1680x1050@60hz is possible on single DVI, then 120hz is possible on dual-link?. If they're really doing 120hz, I imagine this monitor could be quite popular.
