Bermuda Triangle etc..

Basically, the layout of the terrain in the area can be very confusing for aircraft that have for one reason or another lost instrumentation and their bearings, and this means pilots can often plot an incorrect return course, which takes them further away from landing strips/mainland.

Usually by the time they realise its too late, and the fuel is running out :(

I'am going on a boat. But as stated before I have a bit more peace of mind.
I thought it was weird 'cos I typed it into google-earth and it stated the image could not be shown.

I watched a good program about it the other day, they demonstrated how the bubbles could sink a ship (by raising the water level), was quite interesting.

Kind of although I think it has more to do with affecting the water density as this New Scientist article suggests. It could be possible that undersea vents allow escaping methane (or other gases) to bubble up towards the surface which may just be enough to allow a ship to sink, however it would appear the ship must already be not much more than barely afloat if it is a stream of bubbles - if there is one giant bubble released from solid deposits of methane then it has more potential to destabalise a ship and cause the unexpected sinking.

The Bermuda Triangle seems like a good example of how a reputation is hard to shift. The fact that it spawned a Barry Manilow song is also rather unfortunate.

Oh God, your father is trying to get rid of you.

Call the police, and cancel your trip immediately - do not venture near the triangle!

PC (iBook g4 - doubt you would want)
Car (no longer have it)
House (live with parents - although they are going on holiday with me)
gf (i'am a girl, I have a b/f)

Sorry.

Get shot of the bf, then he can just take you with pretty much no strings attached.

There's 7 of us going in total and I think the most relaxed person is my sister. She's not bothered by anything as long as she gets there and gets to spend her money.
The rest of us think into things like this. I'am not actually scared, a little nervous but that's only because I've been told many different things about the Triangle. I suppose if I make posts after the 20th of September that's a sign it's all been fine.
