Which card in the £100 region?

Im looking at current £100 range GFX cards, and I am pretty confused. I was thinking about the 8800GT, then thought about the 9600GT instead, now I see that the 9800GT is about a tenner more than the 9600GT if that. I know the nvidia market has gone wierd at the moment but that confused me a lot, surely it must be a fair bit better than the 9600GT. Can anyone simplify a little what the best deal of the lot is? I spotted that the 4850 is popular but I dont want to go up to the 120 range really as I have a lot of other stuff to pay for right now.

Very good idea or the cheap Gainward 3870 cards listed on OcUK (which offer similar performance to the 8800GT's)

for £100 the 8800GT was the card of choice
the 9800GT is pretty much a rebranded version with no real performance gains

the 4850 is the top dog at that price range - consider nothing less

I keep hearing bad things about these cards. Are they only bad if you game at a high resolution? I game at 1680x1050. That would be ok for me i think

No the 4850 is faster and also faster than all 8 series cards.
