New Metallica single - The Day That Never Comes

Unfortunately google doesn't have a ****** to English translator ;) so I have no idea what he just said :p

Better than St. Anger but that would not be difficult. Its just not really that good though, for them at least. I'd expect this from a wannabe band on T4 or something.

Needs more cowbell.

...and dustbin lid

Maybe this will grow but tbh ive been less than impressed by everything since Muppets album wise, sure Black and Justice had some good tracks, but a band like Metallica should be more than putting out 2,3,4 good songs and rest fillers.

Have to agree with them probably being the best live band out there atm. Unlike Maiden (who I unequivocally love) who's set list continues to be dire, Fear of the Dark, Run To The Hills..... ZZZzzzz

I like it.

Been a Metallica fan since their early days.

This track reminds me more of the likes of their "Unforgiven" moments. Or even "Unforgiven II".

Not a bad thing.

Look forward to more new stuff from them.

P.S. Sounds nothing like Slayer have ever done tbh, different kettle of fish altogether!!!.

Make your mind up - is it Slayer or is it Metallica?

It's Metallica. Says so on their website anyway.

I didn't confuse the album with the band. Reminds me of Kill 'Em All. Also reminds me of unrelentless Slayer songs. Seeing as both bands were considered to be in the same genre once upon a time it's not that hard a leap of imagination to see the similarities here.

P.S. Sounds nothing like Slayer have ever done tbh, different kettle of fish altogether!!!.

As above. Also, I'm talking about the new My Apocolypse one specifically, not the melodic Unforgiven sound-alike.

The second release is a bit better, miles better than the first, I just wish they'd have put half the riff changes into the second song rather than just repeating the same riff. Again though, awesome skill even the drums this time.

I think I've heard enough I'll buy it and see what it's like as a package.
