I have **** and ****** accounts registered to my university email address but as I've finished uni I decided to transfer them over to my permanent email addy.
So, I logged into **** and changed the email address in my account settings. Strangely, **** tells me the email address I want to switch my account to is already registered to an existing **** account. I figured I must have setup another account myself on that email and forgotten. I tried to login, no joy. Eventually I had to ask for the pass to be sent to me. Once I had logged in I went about changing the settings....apart from this isn't my account, it belongs to someone else. I have his name, address, telephone number and the last few digits of his account number. Before you ask, the card has expired so my friend won't be paying for me to have a nice new home cinema!
I then set about changing my ****** account. Same problem, my email address is registered to another account. Again I am sent the password and I login to 'my' account. Again, someone else's account, again I have their purchase history and details. This person, incidentally, wants to get into the SAS so I hope he doesn't find out I'm using his(?) account!
So, two different people, two accounts on separate sites, both registered to an email address that I have had exclusively for the last 5 years. What's going on!?
