Does Media Player Classic play Blu-Ray/HDDVD?

It will play the streams off of a BD but you'll get no subtitle support and need AnyDVD HD. HD-DVD won't playback nicely.

you'd need something to playback lpcm tracks with HD-DVD. one of the cinemaster audio packs will give you a dll for this. blu-ray nicely seems to have AC3 tracks.

hopefully a new mpc will come out that can read the subs in the files as well.

i use mpc for playback of my HD-DVDs (when the drive isnt hookedup to my 360).

Which splitter do you use? Both Sonic and Haali have the problem of dropping frames with EVO's, I find it much easier to just go eac3to 1.evo+2.evo blah.mkv .

either the haali one, or the cinemaster one with that pack i mentioned. no probs with playback.

Hmm perhaps you don't notice, both definitely have frame drop problems, but the Sonic one does work well with ZoomPlayer.

No VLC, is quite dreadful and it won't do anything with BD/HD-DVD. Get Arcsoft or PowerDVD.
