Finally someone has the guts to say 'Fatties, it's your fault!'

lol at that

What 'sports players' are you talking about? If you are a professional sportsmen you dont use the NHS lmfao.. and even if you are an amatuer sportsman that actually cares about doing well and not elite level you will still go privately and/or only use specific surgeons/doctors/physios that your fellow athletes or coaches recommend.

The type that goes and kicks a ball around on a Saturday.
Or goes mountain biking on there day off. These people always get inujuries and will cost the NHS far more.

Apart from eating disorders, sports injurys and other such stuffs. there's always side effects to everything.

People should just stop complaining. Live and let live. Do fat people impact on your life? No, so why do people attack them.

I have no probelm with fat people, i was just trying to give a reason why it seems that they are always under fire at the minute

Not everyone can afford private healthcare

Why don't people get annoyed at sports players who more than likely cost the NHS far more money a year than fat people.

I might be able to find a breakdown somewhere that might prove that's not true.

Overall don't forget that poor diet, sedantary lifestyle, smoking etc., will cost a lot more in the long run.

Acidhell, don't get me wrong I don't think we should attack fat people for being fat, but how can encouraging people to lead a healthier lifestyle?

That's sort of my point, maybe the traffic light system will help them avoid ready meals.

I thought the system was just a label. The only thing that will 'help people avoid' something is a physical barrier, not a label. Taking bad foods away will do this. People don't honestly think some colours on the packaging is going to change what obese people buy to eat do they?

Injuries in sport are accidental, it's not like they go out to intentional pull a muscle/break a bone.

Why does everything have be be about cost?

The fact is apart from a few injuries that most sports participants get the exercise they do is good for them, whereas being overweight has not health benefits and has been proven without a doubt to be very unhealthy.

nothing wrong with that and I think the colour light system is great. You also have to remember more and more "healthy" people are getting "fat" diieseases due to the rubbish they eat. Just because your not fat, doesn't mean that 1/2 kilo of sugar your eating every day isn't damaging you.

You also get the people which say they shouldn't get free health care as it's self inflicted. So are things like sports injuries.

Why becuase just becuase you're over weight you've lost you free will? Get over yourself. At the end of the day, what you eat is your responsibility and choice. Nobody else's.

Because we dont need to look at them waddling down the street or sweating in the corner of a club whilst dressed like they were 8 dress sizes smaller :)

It's nothing new, it's always been fat peoples faults and only a handful of people have said differently.

Why don't people get annoyed at sports players who more than likely cost the NHS far more money a year than fat people.

probably because sports people go private,

probably because sports people go private,

No they don't....

Your think of professionals. Not the people who play 5 aside football, or go mountain biking or play tennis or any other sport. Where most by there mid 20's have had surgery or at least broken bones. With countless other injuries.
