All New Summer 2008 Transfer Merry Go Round/Rumour Mill

Barry's agent has released a statement saying that he won't be leaving Villa during this transfer window. Thank **** for that. Hopefully he wasn't hinting at a move in January though.
 
gutted about milner, I'm annoyed at the lad, fair enough you want to leave, BUT don't screw us over 5 days before the end of the season

We can't afford to let him leave, and won't find a suitable replacement for the money we get for him

Keane HAS signed a lot of players..but this is effectively the 3rd team he has bought

he got the players to get them out of the championship..he then bought a team to keep them up..now he is buying a team to kkep them there...we have to had to buy lots just to keep still in premiership terms, mainly because we couldnt attract the players we wanted last season..I would expect the number of players coming in in january and next season to be a lot lot less in numbers

we were way behind even mid table teams last season in terms of overall quality...thats why he is buying so many this season..just to bring our overall squad up to moderate amount of decent players, with at least capable players as backup

we do look stronger overall this season..we just need the results...it took us till april last seasaon to get an away win and our home form kept us up..we have already improved on that this season..even a little progress is still progress

some squads look stronger this year (fulham?) some look weaker (everton?) should be an interesting season, lets hope we dont have a 'Derby' this year as it was pretty sad in the end (though funny to start with!!)

Fair point he should have done this weeks ago really and unless 1 of the 3 players keegan wanted to bring in is a right winger then there is very little chance of getting a replacement now as said , i am mixed on milner really he works hard and can put in some decent crosses but at the same time often fails to provide decent service after beating a defender .
 
Lee Young-Pyo has left Spurs for Germany according to the official site.

Corluka to Spurs looks like it's a done 100% no-going-back deal now.
 
cant imagine you'll keep him if they offer you 6-6.5 though, not like hes going to play with heart etc, lets face it there isnt that much else to his game.. hes the wing version of kuyt for me.
