Crysis Warhead - Gone Gold

Never played the original but my understanding that in terms of events it's not a sequel but rather something that fills in some gaps in the original story.

You play along a parallel storyline to Nomad's in the original.
So you should get a lot of the missing details in, and hopefully find out more about what happened to Prophet.

only now i have a decent sized screen does crysis look so sweet .looks just like first game with few little tweeks.just a shame about the boring gameplay and how inacurate the aiming is on guns. your better of throwing frogs at people :p

I've just started playing thorugh the first one, bought it yesterday, 3 hours in... :D

To be fair at full detail my rig runs its pretty well, a few dips here and there when it gets real busy but so far nothing unplayabe.

I'm glad I waited a year until I had the right graphics card, the eye candy is strong in this one.

Hmm just installed the original again and my current rig gets 20-30 fps on ultra high without any patches so i'm guna buy warhead and hopefully on high i'll be averaging 45fps or there abouts

sorry but i cannot sit here and not comment, who gives a flying **** is a system struggles to run warhead, crysis pushed systems to that same limited yet i managed to play through the whole game (1.1 patch, custom settings with HDR, 1280*1024) without noticing any slowdowns at all, even through FPS went below 30FPS on numerous occations, compairing it to CSS is just about the single stupidest thing i have ever read on here, you cannot compair the two since crysis DOES feel perfectly smooth at 30FPS, who gives a damn if CSS doesn't? there two totally different games, running on two totally different engines, in two totally different ways, stop pointlessly trying to make the point that systems are 'struggling' to run it, nobody cares if theres something in peoples mind that says 30FPS is terrible regardless, i seriously feel for crytek! they put all this work into such a wonderfully detailed and impressive engine just for some people to rip it apart, shocking

Is it 64bit compatible? I need 64bit gaming!

I'm going to spam Crytek forums 64times if it's not!

I cant wait for this game. I thoroughly enjoyed the first one. So I know I will enjoy this one too. I am going to go pre-order it now. But if it becomes available on the web earlier, I don't know if I will be able to resist. Still getting original though. Need to reward developers for games that i really like so they make sequels/ newer similar high quality games.

Am glad that very high settings now available (without editing config files) in DX9.

Though the only major and proper improvement I want from this game is better ATI/Crossfire performance. Though I am not sure if it's Crytek's code or ATI's drivers.

It's quite obvious that there really are some major flaws in the code though, otherwise they would be releasing more patches. Crytek were very good with patches for Far Cry, and I don't imagine they would be any different now unless there was a good reason.

Not long til we find out now :)

There was supposed to be a 1.3 patch bt it was cancelled, and they wre quick to stress it had nothing to do with piracy. 0_o
