Are you the type to buy a "special" chair for your driving sim? Have you converted your garage into a Cockpit of a Boeing 747 for FSX? What "special" accessories do you have?

The most outlandish thing I have is a wheel and I feel very silly using it, so I dont.
 
lol i loved the idea of converting you garage into a cockpit !

I dont think i have anything special :( i have instruments for GH and RB on my 360 but nothing for my PC sadly...

edit - i just remembered i have a petey piranha guarding my screen. :D
 
I don't have the space, but if I did, I would have a games room.

It would have PCs for me and the missus (she's quite a gamer too) as well as a large HD screen with a PS3 and Wii. Air Conditioned ofc.
 
I play games just for fun, and I find simulators mostly boring (I bought FSX and got bored after half an hour). For this reason, I wouldn't go out and buy a racing chair setup for use with a wheel and pedals because I wouldn't buy any of it in the first place.

Joystick for FSX as the game is unplayable without one :o

for the rest I have bog standard keyboard and mouse.

I also sit on an old wooden chair my bum going numb is the signal that I need a break :D
 
I have a 360 degree 9 lcd projector display with a electric servo motion seat and force feedback stick/rudder controls with accurate replication and movement of aircraft instruments, along with a VOIP simulated UHF/VHF radio system.

Hang on, that's my workplace...
 
I have a gaming keyboard G15 and Gaming Mouse Mx518 and Icemat :P thats as extreme as i would go with gaming, i did have A jaguar steering wheel for my PS2 GT3 and i loved it :)
 
I'd love to build a 747 cockpit in my garage! Sadly I don't have anything like that... not even got a steering wheel for racing sims.
 
I love sims flight and racing but do not have any geek stuff but would love track ir for flight sims.

I think people who get into this kinda stuff is well cool love seeing people of the age of 40,50,60,70 well into flight sims i think it's great.

the only 'special' thing i have is my tobacco, rizzla and filters, without that, id be going nuts at some games. oh and i suppose a flask to keep tea in allowing me longer gaming periods is pretty special lol

I do have a 2 screen setup not sure if that counts as special mind. I only have it so i can play game in one screen and have itunes or internet in the 2nd.

He wasn't mocking Warhammer in that post at least - merely the people that like it :)

I still play a few things 'seriously' (e.g. put effort into winning) now and again but mostly these days I'm just too busy to regard them as anything more than 10 minute distractions.
 
I have a two screen set-up too, one for TV programmes and films, the other is my desktop for gaming etc. I always thought it funny those people who converted their bedroom into an F15 cockpit with working dials the lot. Saw it on a programme on the discovery channel once. Some people spend a fortune to not go anywhere.

I must say it would be fun to have a cockpit bedroom for about oh 10mins then i would proberbly think what the hell have i done after that :p
