Golden Wonder, Why So Strong?

Strong salt & vinegar crisps?

I must try these!

I used to really like the Walkers Max salt & vinegar but they seemed to stop making them a few years ago :(

I thought GW went down the tubes and Walkers bought (and ruined) all their decent non-potato crisp brands (Nik Naks, Wheat Crunchies et al)?

/edit:

It appears that GW still lives!! Spring onion and sausage and tomato were some of the bestest crisps ever!

I live in the town where their main headquarters used to be (in Market Harborough, Leicestershire) - it's now a dilipidated building that absolutely noboby wants to buy or redo. I'll probably take photos of it later if I ever go downtown.

The company's basically taken a nosedive in recent years, I'm amazed they're still going strong.

I live two streets away from their old crisp factory, both my parents used to work there in the 80s. Used to get a few binbags of free crisps every week, payday was chaos as everyone tried to collect their crisps at once.

The stronger the better, the strongest salt and vingar i have tried recently is the seabrook ones, will have to keep an eye out for golden wonder now.

Co-op Truly Irresistible Sea Salt and Chardonnay wine vinegar crisps. So good they gave me ulcers!

Sounds good, if a little poncey. Now I need to work out where my nearest Co-Op is.

Actually the Somerfield hand cooked salt n' vinegar crisps are pretty nice as well, possibly even better than the Kettle chips.

Those rice pringles in Salt and Vinegar are pretty good, take the nodules off your tongue:eek:

not crisps tbh.

discos used to be win, not had them recently.

The nicest Salt + Vinegar crisps are the 'M+S Anglesey Sea Salt and Balsamic Vinegar' version. Seriously next time your buying some posh sandwiches buy them... they are soooo nice.

They did. Some of the brands got sold off, and the rest were bought by Tayto when GW finally collapsed.
