Golden Wonder, Why So Strong?

Discos are now made by United Biscuits.

Golden Wonder went bust a few years back and Tayto of Northern Ireland now own the brand. Was a shame as Golden Wonder used to make a product called "Quite Hot Crisps" and the Mustard flavour ones were awesome. I hope they bring them back but I suspect Golden Wonder is miniscule now compared to Walkers and will only do the standard flavours like S&V, C&O.

Golden Wonder salt and vinagar are the best crisps in the world. Nothing better than a REALLY strong pack of S&V that takes you breath away:D

Exactly. S&V Discos when you get LOADS of flavouring in is awesome too - I love the flavour explosion on your tongue :D

I didn't think you could get Golden Wonder S&V anymore? Please enlighten me.. . they used to be my fave!

I think the strongest ever S&V I had were "Dragon Crisps" - some Welsh jobbies I think. That was years ago though.

can never have too much salt and vinegar flavour in your crisps :D

i've just had 2 bags of squares, they are quite salt and vinegary even by Walkers standards.

Strong flavoured crisps are great. McCoy's Chedder are my favourites at the moment but I really miss Tudor Pickled Onion, they where so strongly flavoured they almost caused my mouth to go numb. Lovely.

Real Crisps for the win. I love their hot flavours, Jalapeno rocks but Sweet Chilli or Salt and Black Pepper will do in an emergency. Sheer quality, like those kettle chips but not so hard they break your teeth.

Real crisps roast Ox flavour are rather nice. Interestingly they are also owned by Tayto of Northern Ireland.

Brainnigans Roast Beef and Mustard flavour were really strong, went down lovely with a pint. The mustard smell and taste was strong enough to make your eyes water. For Salt and Vinegar these days it has to be McCoys though. Discos were awesome back in the day.

Tudor gammon were quite possibly the best crisp ever sold.
