Agreed, probably the best i've ever seen

Great! We usually order from the shop through my partners account, he's a member here and buys a lot but doesn't post much so I guess I'll do the shopping for the time being. :D
Been looking at the snazzy Creative 7.1 speaker system. :D

The big heavy stuff is where the biggest savings are. :p

Got the speakers on Wednesday Yewen.

10% off and free postage on a 25k package, nice! :D

Wanting to make some first time orders on the site, but don't know the e-mail address I used to register here. I used an NTL e-mail address, don't think it'd exist anymore.

You can sign up with ANY email!

You just go into the options and enter your forum username and password and they link. Easy as that!

Almost time to take a look at how the offer has gone and take it from there. Can't wait.

Unfortunately the trial period has been set by RTB.

It is just so we can measure how much of a impact it has had on all aspects of the business and compare it directly to other figures. This way we can make an informed decission on how much of a success it has been. :)

I seem to recall way back in the thread/TCs he said something about it being tomorrow or month end...but working-wise tomorrow is month end, so I'll just have to order tomorrow morning...would that get free delivery for Monday? - I guess not due to that technically being next day delivery mind).

If you ordered tommorrow then it would be going for Monday delivery. :)

The offer will only get pulled if its turned out to be a complete flop! I do not think it has but only the final figures will tell.

Cool, shall make sure to spend my first hour or so at work tomorrow placing orders of stuff. :D

It certainly does look like it's been going well, may be the main 'omg free shipping order now' thing mind, but I guess after the first few days that should have calmed down. :)

It is the impression I have also. Certainly a great offer whichever way you look at it.

As with most things the final figures can sometimes paint a different picture why I am looking forward to seeing them.

With the 10% discount this actually made ordering from ocuk worthwhile for once! It's a step in the right direction, but for any orders >£200, competitors are much cheaper for orders with next day delivery due to the lower % in price.

Some websites give free next day delivery on those who are subscribed to the site, for a fee of around £50 a year. Maybe ocuk could do something similar with product discounts? After all it's much better to make less profit on the sale than to lose it to a competitor.

not true, its only better if all people go to the competitor, if they sell an item for a bigger profit, and people still buy, then it doesnt matter if some go to a competitor because they are still getting sales.

also dont forget that not all companies get the same item for the same price, if competitors can get the stock for cheaper then OcUK can, then they can afford to lower the price, if OcUK tried to match it, they may end up making no profit due to higher initial costs.

Personaly i think OcUK prices are quite good for what they offer, the only thing i wont buy from OcUK is a case, no matter how cheap one may be my last one arrived damaged, so im sticking to a competitor for cases now, other then that im happy to stick to OcUK for my other PC part needs.

That isn't true because ocuk could have made more sales and thus more profit if they hadn't lost some sales to a competitor. In an imperfect market, ie where supply exceeds demand, it is always better to make a sale no matter how little profit you make, than not to make one at all. In a perfect market, ie where demand is greater than supply, eg nintendo wii, it is always better to lose a sale than to make less profit on it because you only have a limited number of the goods and can't get more.

if OcUK sell all the stock they have of an item then it doesnt matter if a competitor charged less, they couldnt have gotten any more sales and would have made less money if they matched the competitor.
