Which Quake? I have had problems with the Quake 1 engines!

The only other games are Jericho, Bloodrayne and Painkiller. Those have been impossible to run.

So far I have got Bioshock, The Witcher, Prey, Portal, Quake 4, Doom3, Diablo II, Condemned, NFSMW and NFSU2 running with no issues.

man your as mad as me on games , just update my sig built last night v quick cant believe vista installed in 15 mins

great stuff

I had the retail version of Painkiller working on Vista 64 too.

Interesting. No idea why it didn't work for me.

More recent games tend to like more than 2 gigs of ram when you're on Vista. Just a warning.

I've been getting RAM warnings playing The Witcher on 3GB, though this may be something to do with running it at 1920x1200, I never had that problem at 1280x1024. I plan to upgrade to 6GB next month.

I didn't have any problems running any games in Vista64 and the performance was okay whilst I had 4GB of ram installed.

The general slowness of the OS is awful once you go back to XP though.

The only probs I had with gaming and vista 64 bit are with refresh rates in games such as Bioshock, Gears of War in DX10 mode and Mass effect (to name a few!)

Bioshock was fixed with the first patch, Gears I played around with the settings until it worked (I might have played in DX9 mode) and Mass effect again I think I played with settings until I got a decent enough resolution without a massive border down one side of the screen. Perhaps I've been doing something wrong tho :P
