Okay, i'm going to be up myself for this thread, for once.
Just watching 'Airport' and a scene is showing customers angry about arriving late and missing check-in and others are ranting as all airlines overbook their flights in case people cancel.
I have never been late and i don't understand how anyone could be. If you know what time you need to check-in, how is it so difficult to know how much time to spare? For example taking into consideration travelling - car traffic, trains being delayed and so on.
Admittedly airports are huge places but there are signs everywhere plus the staff that work there. All it involves is looking up at the screen to see what counter you check-in at and then they tell you the gate.
Perhaps i'm stupidly organised/sad but why do people just not think?
Ever been late? What were your reasons? What happened? Were you dealt with and if so, how?
