It's not as if the constitution is a holy document, never to be tampered with or amended though. It certainly wasn't perfect, hence the number of amendments over the years.

I imagine part of it is the (albeit no doubt media-propagated in part) view that they seem to adopt uncompromising stances on certain issues. Things like opposing things like background checks before purchasing and vigorously opposing the ban on assault weapons

For example, I wonder if the writers of the consitution foresaw how much weapons technology would advance? Did they envisage in their 'right to bear arms' allowing the general population weapons capable of firing multiple rounds per second, accurately from a great distance). Given that when the constituion was drafted, the most advanced gun was a flintlock musket.

Americans love war and dont care about policy = McCain is ahead

As much as I'd hate it I can see McCain taking the presidency. Obama really needs to sort himself out.

Presidental elections in amercia make no sense, its only a popularity contest at the end of the day.

But what I dont get is that when McCain was asked if he'd still of started the war in Iraq if they knew what they know now, and he said yes??
But the only reason not to go to war was the "Weapons of Mass Destruction" which were never found, meaning that the whole war had no real meaning, so why would you still do it? I think they should bar McCain from running for presidancy just so they dont have 2 idiots in a row. They need a democrat that can sort the economy out, just like Clinton did, and I really think Obama can do this....

Well, if want to make sure your guys further down the line are okay, put them in the Constitution. That makes it harder to argue against, right?
 
Well, at least McCain can't use the inexperience card against Obama anymore, seeing as he's picked a woman who's only done one term just like Obama has.
 
I would, she is most definately a milf.

I actually think she is a very good choice as there are a lot of voters that wanted Clinton solely because she was a woman. I also think the combination makes Obahma/Biden look old fashioned and dull. Well played McCain.
