Absolutely fuming right now, woke up at 7:30am after a long week were I could have happily had a nice lay in, sat here waiting for my delivery ALL DAMN MORNING.......

16:20 Friday, August 29, 2008 On route to delivery branch
02:24 Saturday, August 30, 2008 Arrived at Delivery Branch
06:56 Saturday, August 30, 2008 Goods loaded onto a van
11:41 Saturday, August 30, 2008 Delivery point closed (Carded)
12:30 Saturday, August 30, 2008 Goods returned to branch

SO WHERE'S THE CARD?!? DOOR BELL WORKS YOU ******* IDIOTS!!

To make me even more angry from 11 till 12 I was sat right next to the window, anyone that came to the door I 100% would have seen, no one came, not even close!

Why the hell do people employ these poor excuses for human beings?! and to top off an already crap morning ive broken my damn pen drive in a rage :(

There's a point at which you begin to wonder why OcUK don't change their courier.

A bad experiences with them myself. I remember when ordering my monitor, the guy *apparently knocked on my door, and gave me a card (so it said on the online update). Funny though, I guess it was an invisible card, or I didn't get one.

Next day, same thing happened again, I called them up instantly the second their web site updated, and politely told the woman that someone had been in all day, and there had been no attempt at delivery. We would have seen someone coming up the path past the front door anyways, and the day prior to that we did not receive a card either. She apologized, and sent the delivery guy around after he had finished work.

He did not look a happy camper to put it mildly :p

True, but I wonder how many times they screw up compared to the number of successful deliveries. I guess the customers of failed deliveries are going to be more vocal. Fortunately I've not (yet) had a problem with them.

Because lots and lots of people don't have any problems with City Link...

There's certainly more than is normal. We see these kind of threads monthly, and OcUK has a hell of a lot of customers that aren't registered on the forums and thus, don't speak about it. I don't even want to imagine how many people they've annoyed. It's happened to me repeatedly and it's why I use slower options over them now.

probably the % of problems with Citylink is quite low

the thing I dont like about Citylink is not the amount of problems but the fact so many of their drivers are dishonest and the comapny in general doesnt seem to give 2 ***** about it

After the last couple of weeks, when ordering online, I'll definitely order from elsewhere if the only option is Citylink

:(

What was it?

E8400, was finally going to replace this E2180

Was looking forward to spending my sunday playing around with my PC as the missus will be at work all day tomorrow, instead it looks like it'll be another boring Sunday

The thing that has annoyed me the most is the fact I was up so early, its normal for me to get up around 11am on a Saturday as its like my recovery day from the hard week gone by, now instead i am going to spend my whole day knackered, no doubt go back to sleep late afternoon, and being bored on Sunday :(

Sent a rage filled "im'a bust a cap in yo ass" email to city-link, on the bright side I should be able to claim my £9 postage back :p (anyone remember the last time i posted anger about city-link? that was there Saturday service too)

EDIT: I wish ocuk would offer an amtrak service, around here they have always been top notch

EDIT2: fixed my pen drive :D

The other strange thing that occurred this morning is I found a RMSD "sorry you were out" slip in my letter box, I cant make out the writing very well but it says the time "12:30" on it and the date of the 20somethingth

Can't remember ordering anything through RMSD and it was pre-12:30 when I looked so that's confused me a little

Did that poster in another similar thread ever upload that video he took?

My City Link experience was watching the City Link man on my camera which is attached to the front door while looking out of the window at him.
He made no attempt to knock on the door or ring the bell and just turned around.
I flew out of the door asking where he was going and why he didn't knock.

I had arranged for them to pick up some goods I needed delivered, they ignored the instruction to go round the back to pick them up the first day then just didn't bother turning up the second.

I cancelled the delivery in the end and am driving the 100 odd miles this afternoon to deliver it in person, can't trust delivery companies to get things right anymore.

Much more vocal.

It's so rare for anyone to say "well they did their job", so probably 90% of comments are negative.

IIRC Citylink have about the same successful delivery rate as most of the other couriers in the same price range, and unlike some of them haven't gone bust twice in the past few years :p

The problem is, as always with couriers the fact that it's very dependant on how good the delivery depot staff and the driver are - our local city link guys are superb round my neck of the woods (not missed a delivery to me in 8 years*), however some areas i've no doubt it will be worse (either due to low staff numbers or poor staff).

*The only time I did have a problem was way back in about 99, when they couldn't find our house (and then the delivery guy rang on his third attempt to get directions).

That poster you're asking about would be me - unfortunately I can't find said video so my credibility flies out the window. But it seems it's happened to you as well so at least somebody else here knows what I'm taking about.
