Think it just takes a bit of planning in the first few weeks. I would rather make sure I never have to work again, than paying the most expensive stuff.
You could buy 5 houses at 200k and the rent alone would be at least 1k per house a month.
At 5 grand a month (presuming they are all actually occupied every single month) it would take roughly 16 years to break even.
