Ford Focus Fuel Light Question

Hi there

Does anybody know how much fuel should be left in the tank of a 1999 Ford Focus Zetec 1.8 petrol when the low fuel light comes on? I can't find it in the manual and cannot find this information anywhere online.

What I'm looking for is the official figure that Ford state not what people think or how many miles they drive for before filling up ;)

I think its a load of bull about gettin the crap from the tank tbh. The fuel doesnt drain from the exact bottom anyway, so the crap remains at the bottom, plus theres a fuel filter for that very reason
 
Fuel is filtered in the pumps when you fill up anyway, so unless you make a habit of stuffing dirt down your filler neck then there isn't any way that 'crap' can get in. Even if there was, the movement of driving will shake up the contents of the tank anyway so any sediment will get lifted.

10L in my transit connect.

There is no crap in the bottom of fuel tanks, as ive removed, drained and changed two recently i know this for fact. Emptied all the fuel out and used it, was no poo in the bottom of them.
