She's cleaned up quite well!

Shampood the inside yesterday, which didn't look all that dirty but you should have seen what came out! T Cutted and super resined the outside today and put some bumper black on the trim. Looks magic now compared to how it did!

Mechanically it's had an oil and filter change, new plugs, HT leads, cap and rotor arm. Purrs like a kitten now! Jobs to do soon (Tomorrow hopefully) are to sort out a minor exhaust blow and adjust the handbrake so that it's not pulling through the roof.

She's averaging about 32-35mpg which is a little more than i expected.

That's just ridiculous for £300!

Looks very clean now. What is the bodywork like? Any rust?

The tailgate has some very slight bubbling around the trim, there's a tiny spot on the offside wheelarch about the size of a small screwhead and one similar size bubble on the passenger door. Nothing that can't be sorted!

More pressing for ultimate tidyness are new/used light clusters on the back becasue someone has cleaned them with thinners and a new glovebox door becasue it's obviously been broken into.

great car for the money tbh. Find me an estate for £300 that is better than this and to say the least I will be shocked. It is a well known fact all good window cleaners would pay at least £500 for this car!

Man that's depressing... paid ten times that for my 850, albeit a good few years ago. Nice find :).

It's a 2 litre 20 valve. No rocket ship but miles better than a 1.9 n/a diesel :D

ah the lump designed by porshe :)

wow thats pretty good economy for that lump! i'm guessing its a manual? ours is an auto and we usually don't see more than 25-26mpg...

It's manual, once it gets up to speed it does about 40 to 43mpg on the display. It doesn't like stop start stuff very much though.

It costs about £7 more to fill up than the ZX did and does roughly the same mileage per tank at the moment. I'm not doing much round town stuff currently, we'll see what happens next week for that i'm not expecting miracles!!

yeah the whole stop starting issue on these lumps is common, need to left it run for at least a couple of minutes before turning it off. :)
